Thinking of other people in need

Launching of Island's Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative for 2017 with a Valentine's Twist

Valentine is all about love, not just love between couples but it should go beyond, for instance

  • appreciation for all people around you who make your life better;
  • thinking of other people in need;
  • treating well the environment you live in;
  • to share the good vibe in you with everyone and everything around you.
This year at Island Insurance Brokers we are celebrating St Valentine's Day in a special way - by first of all appreciating all our valued employees by treating them to a fine relaxing moment - a fun moment! Also, today February 14th we are officially launching Island's Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative for 2017. This year we chose Id-Dar tal-Providenza.
Id-Dar tal-Providenza was founded by Mons. Michael Azzopardi in 1965 with the aim of offering a home with a warm and family-like environment for persons with very severe disabilities, who for some reason or another cannot live with their family because of the extensive quality care they require. Since then Id-Dar tal-Providenza has supported its residents to participate in and enjoy quality of life within the community.
A sum of Four million euro per year is required for the running of the Homes. Id-Dar Tal-Providenza, which is built on faith in Divine Providence, relies to a very large extent on the generosity of its benefactors and the public donations it receives to fund the high level of care it provides. Island Insurance Brokers will be giving contributions donated during events organised throughout this year to this remarkable organisation.
